Joe Audet

Joe Audet has been managing and supporting complex network infrastructures for over 12 years. He has extensive experience with all levels of government IT support from local to federal, as well as businesses IT support from small to enterprise level organizations.

Prior to joining Layer Eight, Joe was a Network Engineer for CT Broadband, where he supported small to medium businesses with a variety of platforms including desktop, server, router, firewall, VPN design, installation and support. Joe also has an extensive background in systems management, inventory management, and customer service call center support.

Joe was a member of the US Army, where he held positions including a supervisor role at the Pentagon's Network Operations Center, supporting over 50,000 users and 9,000 network devices. Joe was also responsible for establishing the Emergency Operations Center for the NOC following 9/11 and had established communications and an operations center within 24 hours of the crisis, allowing repair work to start the following morning. Other positions include a network technician responsible for the US Army's Wide Area Network that connected all of the installations in South Korea, and coordinating emergency operations country-wide in preparation for the Y2K conversion.
