Jeff Koester
Jeff Koester is a seasoned, highly effective executive who has served in key roles with firms specializing in building telecommunication networks, creating enhanced services and software solutions. He has a strong track record of having grown revenue organically as well as from existing customers while delivering superior operational results and financial profits. He has been equally successful in organizations ranging from start-up mode to large organizations. He is especially adept at identifying ways to add value to products to create meaningful marketplace differentiation.
Jeff has been a senior-level executive for thirteen years and has a broad base of experience in vendor and customer account management. He has demonstrated strong analytical and financial skills, has developed and managed budgets in excess of $50 million, and led mission critical high-pressure project teams of over 125 employees.
Jeff was employee number one at Lightship Telecom. As Chief Operating Officer he was a key executive taking this firm from zero to $55 million in annual revenue during difficult industry times. Under Jeff’s leadership, Lightship had positive cash flow in thirty-six months and was operationally profitable just one year later. Jeff was part of the team that raised $75 million in financing while growing the firm to 180 employees.
Most recently Jeff was a key player at One Communications, a leading integrated communications provider (ICP) offering advanced telecommunications solutions to businesses. This 2000 employee, $800 million firm was formed by the consolidation of five ICP’s. Jeff has also held various management positions with firms specializing in telecommunication networks and the creation of enhanced services and software including: Vicorp Interactive Systems, Conference Call-USA, RCI and Rochester Telephone.
Jeff holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Rochester's Simon Business School.
